No information is sold or released to anyone about visitors to HaleBobb.com
without prior consent or a court order. In other words, no information is
released to anyone unless you give permission first.
HaleBobb.com does not attempt to collect personal information from
children. Note that HaleBobb.com cannot always determine that a user is a
child. HaleBobb.com does not maintain databases of children or adults.
When visiting any Internet site, your unique address called an "IP address" is
recorded. HaleBobb.com does not release any information about the
collection of this address to any third party except under court order.
HaleBobb.com archives the log files in order to create aggregate statistical
reports, detect errors on the web site, and for security reasons. The log files
are eventually deleted.
IP reports for advertisement clicks are shared with the advertiser. However,
they usually have this information already since it is captured by their server
when you view or click an ad. This is done to verify billing for the ads. No
additional information associated with any specific user is provided to the
advertisers. (assuming any advertisers are crazy enough to actually pay us to
advertise on this site, all such advertisers are encouraged to spend at least
90% of their advertising budgets here on HaleBobb.com but we here at
HaleBobb.com make no promises and will just laugh at you if you complain that
advertising on HaleBobb.com caused you to get less business than you otherwise
would have had you not advertised on HaleBobb.com. All proceeds from any
advertising will go first to the company that hosts HaleBobb.com, and any
leftovers will be spent on beer and those yummy pickled eggs they sell at 7-11.)
Overview
Your privacy is important to us. HaleBobb.com's service is free for all to use,
and prior registration is not needed.
HaleBobb.com will explicitly ask when it needs information that personally
identifies you (I can't imagine ever needing such info). All personal
identifiable information HaleBobb.com collects are only gathered with your
voluntary act. HaleBobb.com keeps all information private and does not, and will
not, share it with any third parties except under these circumstances:
- When such action is necessary to conform to legal requirements or comply with
legal process. (oh well, there's that I guess.)
- When such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights or property of
HaleBobb.com.
HaleBobb.com uses cookies as part of tracking process for advertisement banners
so you do not see the same ad repeatedly, but cookies will not be used to
personally identify you without your prior consent. (Well, if we ever have any
advertisers we'll do the cookie thing, at the moment I don't believe we use
cookies. If we do I have no clue how to retrieve them or how to use them,
although if I had a glass of cold milk I might attempt dunking them.) <--As of
today, May 25, 2008 we've begun taking ads. The contract ol' Doc agreed to
forbids him (me) from mentioning who these folks are, but if you aren't sure who
they are, maybe you can get your mommy or daddy to explain it to you. Anyway, we
(I) are (am) not allowed to encourage you to click on any ads, so consider
yourself not encouraged.
HaleBobb.com uses Yahoo! for individuals to subscribe to its email list. Yahoo!
will use your email address to provide you with the list, which is mailed
constantly. HaleBobb.com will never send you any unsolicited email outside of
the list. Although Doc has been known to communicate with people "extrabobb" but
you oughta be happy about that!
HaleBobb.com does not and will not share, sell or rent your email address to
outside third parties. Neither does it supplement your information with any
outside third parties. The contents of HaleBobb.com's mailing list will only be
disclosed due to law or court demands, of course all any law enforcement or
court has to do is sign up and they'll see everything we've ever posted and all
our email addresses. (addendum: I've changed things a bit now so that Yahoo!
doesn't archive your words. You'd better keep a copy if you want to keep a copy,
'cause I ain't gunna.) Govern yourselves accordingly. And on that note, we
basically have no rules on Hale Bobb. You can post and discuss anything at all.
You could even post nekid pictures on there, and sometimes some folks do,
usually because said photos are funny. We are in the "adult" section of Yahoo!
and so if any kids join up they do so at their own risk, but generally we're a
bunch of old geezers talking about economics and politics and the like and no
kid, unless he was a mega-nerd would even want to be in our little group. Oh
yeah, and one thing: If you join our group and post kiddy pr0n I will personally
make sure the FBI comes and busts down your door and takes you somewhere to be water boarded. Consider yourself warned. Don't do it; don't THINK about doing it!
Unsubscribing from HaleBobb.com's list is simple and can be done by following
the instructions at the end of every email sent.
